Ironclad Frontier

Ironclad Frontier is a strategy game about carving out a settlement in hostile territory and defending it as things escalate. What I appreciated is that it's more about layout and supply lines than clicking fast. You place buildings, route resources, and then watch your defenses hold — or scramble to patch a weak flank.

The interface is dense at first, and I won't pretend the tutorial holds your hand well. But once it clicked, I found myself opening it every evening to check on my colony. Combat plays out semi-automatically, so your decisions happen in the planning phase.

It's a thinker's game rather than a twitchy one, and it can be slow. If you enjoy chess-like pacing on mobile, you'll get a lot out of Ironclad Frontier. If you want instant action, look elsewhere.
