About
Pocket Pilot started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and arguing about which mobile games were worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are.
We're a small editorial team. Nobody here gets a game from a publisher and rushes out a rating the same afternoon. We install the thing, play it on our own phones during commutes and lunch breaks, and only then sit down to write. If a game bored us by day three, we say so.
Games get picked for coverage in a pretty simple way: either lots of readers keep asking about a title, or someone on the team can't stop playing it. We try to keep the catalogue mixed — RPGs next to racing games, cozy simulations next to strategy. Variety keeps us honest and keeps the site useful for different kinds of players.
We don't do sponsored scores and we don't pretend to be neutral robots. These are opinions from humans with taste and biases, and we'd rather be upfront about that than fake objectivity.
